When we launched Atlanta United, the enthusiasm and support from our fan base was evident.

This is an exciting time as women’s sports are experiencing a period of tremendous growth at every level. The NWSL has significant momentum behind it and has become the premier women’s soccer league in the world over a few short years. We are confident in the league’s trajectory, and we are dedicated to being a model NWSL club while growing the women’s game to unprecedented heights at a world-class level.

Arthur M. Blank is the sole owner of the team. This new club will be operated by AMB Sports and Entertainment, joining the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL, Atlanta United of MLS and Atlanta Drive Golf Club of the TGL as our sports team properties.

They will play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. 

We will begin work on the branding for our club immediately. There is no timeline for that right now, but we will announce the new brand as soon as it has been finalized.

We will develop a first-class training ground for our NWSL team and staff in metro Atlanta with a goal of competing for championships.  Mercedes-Benz Stadium will also undergo NWSL-specific modifications .

We will hire dedicated leadership and staff for NWSL.  The search for talent will include many people from our various leadership teams across AMB Sports and Entertainment and the broader Blank Family of Businesses 

Our goal is to win. This is another opportunity to bring championships to the city of Atlanta.   Numerous young women in Atlanta will have the opportunity to see the best women’s talent in the world chase their professional dreams and be inspired by them right here in Atlanta. With the addition of this NWSL club, those same young women will now have a professional team in this city to support, and potentially one day play for.

We will be looking for the best possible talent and culture fit we can find to fill roles from top to bottom in the club. We expect there will be many great leaders and staff that will want to be part of what we are going to build for NWSL.

Founding Members are the first Members of NWSL Atlanta 2028.   By placing a deposit, you secure your place in line for inaugural season tickets.  Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied towards the cost of your Season Tickets when they go on sale. 

A new curtain system will be deployed, creating a more intimate setting focused on the lower bowl of the stadium.  The exact seating configuration is still being determined.
